The new teaching farm by local education non-profit Apple Seeds Inc. is open on College Avenue, and the first harvest has been collected. Farm manager Cale Nicholson last week led a tour of the new farm, as he harvested several items grown there this summer, including eggplant, okra, cucumbers, and various flowers. Bounty from the harvest will be used at a new school garden market at Cooper Elementary School in Bentonville, a local school that participated in Apple Seeds inaugural garden market workshop back in the spring.
