As the spring season ends, Apple Seeds is opening the door to summer work on the new teaching farm. School gardens have been enjoyed all spring. More than 6,000 students learned the value of healthy eating and teachers gained the knowledge and confidence to start their own gardens. Now, students and parents are scheduled for watering and summer harvesting (a nice bonus to helping with your school garden). The teaching farm has come alive with fall harvest plans. Our team is getting their hands dirty with preparations. The Apple Seeds board members have volunteered labor hours and have been fortunate to share the field with fantastic community volunteers.
