It all started when…

In 2007, a group of devoted and visionary leaders from Ozark Natural Foods identified a crucial imperative: to establish a profound connection between students and the origins of their food. Thus, Apple Seeds was conceived as a 501c(3) organization, embarking on its journey with humble origins and steadily expanding to meet the ever-growing needs of the vibrant NWA student community.

Harnessing the power of innovative and top-tier programming, Apple Seeds emerged as the beacon of nutrition education, illuminating the path for countless students throughout the region. Now, after more than 15 awe-inspiring years, we proudly celebrate having nourished the minds and bodies of nearly 100,000 students through our exceptional nutrition education and food access programs. As a respected institution, we remain steadfast in our commitment to fulfilling our mission with utmost professionalism, resolute determination, and an unwavering dedication to empowering young minds through the transformative realm of garden-based nutrition education.
