10.24.2025 Small Plate Series with Chef Brooks Cameron: A Mexican-Indian Cuisine Night
Our new Small Plate Series features pop-up dining experiences where local chefs present a variety of tasting plates, mini mains, and sweet bites. Each tasting event features unique cuisine and beverages as we share a relaxed night on the farm.
Join us on Friday, October 24th at 6:00pm as we kick off the Small Plate Series with Chef Brooks Cameron, who will take us on a culinary adventure into the rich fusion of Mexican and Indian flavors. This night celebrates the ways food traditions blend across cultures, spotlighting the vibrant mash-up that has emerged on the West Coast as Mexican and Indian communities share flavors and techniques.
Both cuisines are deeply rooted in bold spices, peppers, beans, cilantro, and flatbreads, making them naturally harmonious. Imagine butter tortillas, corn masa dumplings, yogurt-marinated chicken tacos, and inventive sauce pairings. Guests will also sample Chef Brooks’s take on curry rajma and frijoles borrachos — combined into “rajma borrachos” — a hearty dish with a flavorful broth and warming spices.

About the Kitchen Table and Small Plate Dinner Series - Born out of a desire to build a community around great food, Apple Seeds' dinner series are designed to recreate the feeling of gathering around a dear friend's table. These dinners aim to bridge the gap often felt between the chef and diners in a typical dining environment, thereby creating a deeper connection to the food on the plate. Through intentional procurement of local, seasonal ingredients, the transparent preparation of the meal, and storytelling by the chef, each plate is transformed from food into an unforgettable dining experience.
