4.26.25 Kitchen Table Dinner with Chef Darwin Hamada Beyer
4.26.25 Kitchen Table Dinner with Chef Darwin Hamada Beyer
Join us for an artistic culinary evening on Saturday, April 26th at 6:00PM at our Kitchen Table Dinner featuring Chef Darwin Hamada Beyer. This one-of-a-kind dining experience will take you through an array of Japanese cuisine, including four delicious courses, along with speciality selected sake pairings, and a welcome sake cocktail from our friends at Origami Sake!
Sake pairs well with any meal, and the accompanying courses will bring out the best flavors of both the food and the sake. Restrained aromas and subtle flavors can range from fruity and floral to roasted and smoky or sweet and savory. Get ready for an evening of delicious curiosity as we showcase the Arkansas influence on centuries old Japanese traditions.
For Chef Darwin Hamada Beyer, it isn’t enough for a dish to be delicious – it must also honor Japanese cuisine’s unique history while offering something new at the same time.
Featured Chef - As owner and chef at Meiji in Fayetteville, which opened in 2010, Darwin has gained a following with his distinctive and gorgeously artistic sushi, featuring the freshest fish possible and locally-sourced produce. Using his mom’s teachings and recipes as a base, Darwin continues to innovate in the kitchen and offer unique Japanese inspired dishes.
Share in this combination of culinary history and imagination with us on April 26th!
About Origami Sake - Origami Sake, proudly brewed here in Arkansas, is redefining what American-made sake can be. Origami utilizes the best varietals of sake rice in the world grown by Isbell Farms in Central Arkansas and sources pristine water from the Ouachita Mountains aquifer. The combination of these resources creates a clean, expressive sake that pairs beautifully with a wide variety of cuisine.
The brewery is the only vertically integrated brewery in the country to truly create a farm-to-bottle sake and is the freshest sake in the United States. The brewery is fully powered by solar energy and incorporates a gravity-fed process during production. This product is certified Kosher, vegan, gluten free, and represents two of Arkansas’ best resources in every bottle.
About the Kitchen Table Dinner Series - Born out of a desire to build a community around great food, Apple Seeds' Kitchen Table Dinner series is designed to recreate the feeling of gathering around a dear friend's table. These dinners aim to bridge the gap often felt between the chef and diners in a typical dining environment, thereby creating a deeper connection to the food on the plate. Through intentional procurement of local, seasonal ingredients, the transparent preparation of the meal, and storytelling by the chef, each plate is transformed from food into an unforgettable dining experience.
