5.18.25 Kitchen Table Dinner with Chef Jaime Landu Colin

$135.00

Join us for a global-forward culinary experience on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00PM at our next Kitchen Table Dinner featuring Chef Jaime Landu Colin. With roots in Kinshasa, Zaire (now known as Congo) and a culinary path that’s taken him through France, Belgium, and the eastern coast of the United States, Chef Jaime brings a bold, vibrant celebration of African flavors — enhanced with a French approach and a global lens.

This immersive dining experience will highlight the heart of African cuisine: community, connection, and creativity. Expect to enjoy beautifully layered flavors made from simple ingredients, all brought to life through Jaime’s imaginative technique. Each course will introduce dishes in their most original form before surprising your palate with something unexpected.

Featured Chef – Chef Jaime’s story is woven into every bite — from the home-cooked inspiration of his mother’s table to his time working alongside celebrated chefs David Hoene and Jim Alexander to create award-winning French contemporary cuisine. He’s helped open restaurants from Miami to Charlotte and and has lent his talent to the menus of local favorites Wellington’s and Guisinger’s. A strong advocate for anything and everything fresh, Jaime works closely with farmers and growers, embracing sustainable and regenerative practices he learned working in Vermont.

As the 2023 recipient of the Chef’s Choice: Best Chef award at Chefs in the Garden, Jaime’s passion lies in honoring the culinary traditions he grew up with while elevating them to create unforgettable food memories. His dishes are a tribute to comfort, culture, and curiosity — an invitation to experience the complexity of African cuisine with a twist of something new.

Come hungry, and leave inspired by this night of culture, conversation, and cuisine on May 18th!

About the Kitchen Table Dinner Series Born out of a desire to build a community around great food, Apple Seeds' Kitchen Table Dinner series is designed to recreate the feeling of gathering around a dear friend's table. These dinners aim to bridge the gap often felt between the chef and diners in a typical dining environment, thereby creating a deeper connection to the food on the plate. Through intentional procurement of local, seasonal ingredients, the transparent preparation of the meal, and storytelling by the chef, each plate is transformed from food into an unforgettable dining experience.
