Prepare to be entertained and delighted as the April Kitchen Table Dinner brings together two great Arkansas chefs! Chef Case Dighero and Chef Scott Thomas McGehee bring a passion for food history and culture, locally sourced products, and creative combinations. It's sure to be an unforgettable evening filled with storytelling, culinary artistry, and innovation!

Featured Chef - Chef Case Dighero is an influential component of the culinary community of Arkansas and the High South. An active proponent of the NWA food movement, Dighero owns the project-based company, Edible Culture, that focuses on culinary insights through the lens of writing, chef work, and entertainment; he is also the food editor of Citiscapes Metro Monthly magazine, promoting the food culture and history throughout the Natural State.

Prior to starting EC, he served as Director of Culinary at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, helping to define the philosophy of “High South” for the museum’s culinary program.  After leaving the museum, Case continued to host several popular public programs that included Wednesday Over Water or WOW, DISH (featuring women in cuisine), and the CR(EAT)E Food Series, all focusing on the entertaining virtues of the cross section between cuisine and art.  Dighero currently serves on several local civic and social committees and partners often with organizations supporting local food education, including Apple Seeds Teaching Kitchen.

Chef Scott Thomas McGehee is Executive Chef and Partner with Yellow Rocket Concepts, which features restaurants Big Orange (Little Rock and Rogers), Camp Taco (Little Rock), Local Lime (Little Rock, Memphis, and Rogers), Lost Forty Brewing (Little Rock), Taco and Tamale (Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Little Rock), and ZaZa Fine Salad + Wood-Oven Pizza Co (Conway and Little Rock). The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame honored him with Proprietor of the Year in 2020. He attended California Culinary Academy and learned under Chef Alice Waters at Chez Panisse, then later opened Boulevard Bread Company in Little Rock.

Scott has a passion for children's food access and nutrition, and has cooked for countless charitable causes, including brewing a beer that benefited California wildfire relief, and joining a World Central Kitchen team of 7 in the weeks after Hurricane Dorian and Hurricane Laura to provide over 10,000 meals per day to those effected communities.

About the Kitchen Table Dinner Series Born out of a desire to build a community around great food, Apple Seeds' Kitchen Table Dinner series is designed to recreate the feeling of gathering around a dear friend's table.  These dinners aim to bridge the gap often felt between the chef and diners in a typical dining environment, thereby creating a deeper connection to the food on the plate.  Through intentional procurement of local, seasonal ingredients, the transparent preparation of the meal, and storytelling by the chef, each plate is transformed from food into an unforgettable dining experience.
