Featured Chefs - Bob Hiller is the Owner & Chef of The 120 Tapas Bar, open for the second year in it’s new location  in downtown Rogers.  A graduate of Brightwater, Chef Bob has worked in the restaurant and food industry for over 30 years, and has lived  in the NWA region for 15.   After being introduced to Tapas and the cuisine of Spain, Bob and Ashley fully  immersed themselves in Barcelona and returned to provide the most authentic Spanish dining experience possible in NWA!

Matthew Hubbard has been in the kitchen from a young age, first drawn in by his grandmother and then becoming his siblings’ school morning  breakfast chef!    Since graduating the Brightwater program, Matthew has been working alongside Bob Hiller, opening Comida Artesenal and then moving with the team to 120 Tapas Bar.  He appreciates the creative input, experience, and inspiration that has come from working with Chef Bob.

Jose Soto-Rios immersed himself in the art of cooking at the age of 11, arriving home before the rest of his family and experimenting with different ingredients and techniques.  It was through this process that he discovered the ability of culinary creations to bring joy to others, and to also soothe his own young soul after the loss of his mother.

Also a Brightwater graduate, Jose has enjoyed experiencing the multi-faceted nature of the industry and the journey of his culinary education, which has led him to Bob Hiller and the kitchen at The 120 Tapas Bar.  Jose hopes to become an executive chef and pass on his passion, knowledge and experience to the next generation of aspiring chefs – and one day inspire his young daughter to pursue her own passion!

About the Kitchen Table Dinner Series --  Born out of a desire to build a community around great food, Apple Seeds' Kitchen Table Dinner series is designed to recreate the feeling of gathering around a dear friend's table.  These dinners aim to bridge the gap often felt between the chef and diners in a typical dining environment, thereby creating a deeper connection to the food on the plate.  Through intentional procurement of local, seasonal ingredients, the transparent preparation of the meal, and storytelling by the chef, each plate is transformed from food into an unforgettable dining experience.
